I share your concerns on the content of this motion, however a vote on the motion will not take place for several weeks, during which the motion's wording may be amended. The Conservative Official Opposition agrees that the motion could severely limit free speech.

Should the motion in its present form be brought to a vote, I will be voting against it.

It is the intent of the Conservative Official Opposition to introduce a motion for debate this week which will ask Parliament to condemn discrimination against any religion and not single out one faith as worded in the motion.

I will watch this debate with a great deal of interest and see if the Liberal government will support our motion both in debate and in a standing vote in Parliament the following week.
