it all depends

本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛the rankings of those canadian universities are not reliable and of great practical use compared to the rankings of the schools in the States. the rankings of the canadian universities doesn't really tell you which school should you go to if you are interested in the particular major, since the ranking isn't based on the programs or faculties, but rather it's more reputation orientated. and for undergraduates, the name of the school is not of great importance. what really matters is the name of the school (or faculty or program) from which you obtain your last degree (probably Masters, PhDs or MBAs). a high GPA what it matters for a undergraduates, (especially the 3rd and 4th years').

about the recruit issue, well, many research orientated universities are pretty good in doing so, like UT, Uottawa, McGill, for Uottawa, if you come to those labs (medical research and teaching labs), you will feel that UT should put more money on teaching labs, and Uottawa has the most funding (according to Mcleans 2002, or 2003), so go talk to your professors before you make your decision where to go, those profs will tell you a lot more useful things that you need to know compared to the rankings.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
