You can have high quality life in Canada if you have a decent job. You can make more money in US if you have appropriate status.

US is a fair society where each person has almost equal opportunity. Canada is way behind in this aspect. In my opinion, the so called multiculturalism is merely a myth. I couldn't find a job I desired in Canada even though I had considerable experience in China and a master's degree from UBC. Immediately after I got my Canadian citizenship I found my current job in US and I'm very happy with it. I'm currently looking for a job in Toronto because of family reason. Even with my experience in US, I didn't get a job I believed I was perfectly qualified. They didn't even have the manner to reply. This is definitely not a job market question. Imagine how disappointed I was.

If I can find a decent job in Toronto, I'll move back to Canada immediately. I don't care about US green card. I probably can do something about the unfairness in Canada.
