本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛what makes you think you will never be part of the statistics (no offense, I just want to make a point). we don't live in the same place for 30 yrs like our parents did. we don't work for the same employer for 30 yrs like our parents did, either. we live in a world that changes constantly -- why should marriage remain stable? trust in its modern version should be intelligent trust -- meaning you know things can change and will change but you still have the guts to trust, and to love. we are way beyond the age of blind trust in love and marriage. and we have learned the change in our mundane life is probably more genuine and authentic, thus more realistic, than the illusion of eternal stability of love and marriage. after all, what is eternity other than stagnancy?
bottome line, we must learn to trust the untrustworthy and to believe in the unbelievable. isn't this the true reflection of life's own irony -- to live for the inevitable death. We don't live for money. we don't live for love.
we live in order to die.
