the "faith" issue here. and what is worse is that I am not entitled to "have a husband" in this life, either. and the worst thing is that I believe a man is born to be astray -- given the right time, right place and right person. remeber what we learned from Murphy's law -- "what can happen will happen". it is just a question of "when" and "how".
a responsible modern man should encourage his spouse to be self-reliant, either by following a decent career path or by building up wealth over time. of course, if he is super rich then both of them don't have to worry. the wife will be better-off financially after the marriage breaks.
