本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛同一个剧本在不同的年代由不同地方的导演和演员来演绎,出来的效果当然是不一样的.不过观众还是喜欢去比较.
It is a good movie talking about life, love and friendship. I was so touched in the story and nearly moved to tears at two moments. One occured when John nervously waiting for Barbie's dressing at the backstage before they go to the black pool for the competition, I was so nervous at the same time, I don't know why. Finally, John and Barbie can dance together in front of the audiences. And the other moment touched me so much when John was in an elegant dancing suit, with a red rose in his hand, approaching his wife in her store. He said:"I should dance with my best partner, and the best partner in my whole life is you."Perhaps the movie is really affecting, perhaps my English listening gets better and I can understand the story quite well, and perhaps I am a sensible person in deed. And I am so impressive for Susan(John's wife) talking about marriage. She said getting a husband or wife is getting a witness. Whenever you are happy or you are sad, whenever you are successful or you are in trouble, you have your witness in your life, and he/she will be with you sharing all your doing. Another point I got from this movie is besides your work, your career and your family, there are still so many other things you should be concerned, and they will affect your life as much as your work and your family. How wonderful a senior director like Mr. Clark and his colleague in an american big city is also a excellent ballroom dancer! How wonderful we can be proud of ourself not because of our wealth, our status or our power, but our interest, our entertainment or our knowledge. It was so amazing when John's colleague(Stanley Tucci) were dancing with his partner during the competition, with full of passion and devotion, and their friends and the audiences kept cheering for them, encouraging for them. Although at last John and Barbie fell down at the pool and Barbie even had her skirt torn off, they didn't care for whether they can win the competition, they were enjoying every moment when they were at the dance school, when they were practising, and when they were dancing at the black pool. That's we are always saying: The most beautiful scenery is not in the place we want to go, is on the way.(finished in October, 2004)
RICHARD GEAR&JENNIFER LOPEZ的版本之前看了两遍了,今天又把周防正行的版本看了一遍.可能是先入为主的缘故吧,总觉得前一部感觉比较好.日本版里AOKI表现最棒,MR. SUGIYAMA和老的舞蹈老师也不错,其他人普普通通.MAI应该还是女主角,不过她的戏份显得不够,而且把角色的侧重点放在技术的执着而不是舞蹈和生活的热情,本人不太喜欢(因为有比较);另外一点是对SUGIYAMA的妻子的描写也嫌不足,以致最后两夫妻草地上起舞的片断引起不了太大的共鸣.比起HOLLYWOOD版本,SUGIYAMA最后去MAI的PARTY是因为看到了MAI留下的"SHALL WE DANCE?",而不是因为他的妻子,在反映他对妻子的感情上面大打折扣,让人感觉他最后还是为了MAI去了,对"SHALL WE DANCE?"的主题表达没有最后贯彻到底.(SUGIYAMA后来是真正喜欢上跳舞了,从而热爱生活,我想这该是电影的首要主题吧)不过这纯粹个人看法,东西方的文化和价值观又有差异,还有先入为主的缘故,不知道别人又是怎样看.(写于2006年5月)更多精彩文章及讨论，请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
