Jabber's English Note---064

本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛Learn and learn util we decide not to learn any more.

Recently, a lot of people were watching the Winter Olympic Games on TV. I know many Chinese guys wished Michelle Kwan to win the golden medal. To tell the truth, I did not get emotional for Michelle---She is an American, though she have an Asian face.

I am not good at sports. Since I came to North America, however, I have been doing my best to understand a lot of things I am really not interested in. For instance, I know there are speeding skating and figure skating. In the figure skating, there are some complicated actions: triple toe loop, triple lutz, double loop. Without spending time on reading about these things, we would be look like an alien. By the way, the following sentence is the most useful if you watch on the skating: "He fell!". "She fell!". I have an observation: At least 30% of my Chinese friends could not use the word "fall" in the right way. Many of us say
"She fallls!" instead of "She fell!". However, all of Chinese or ABC kids say "She fell!".更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
