Same story on my corolla2000. Light was blinking but ignored ( a Chinese garage didn't know it was a sensor-failure but just said the door of gas-tank not sealed well )

Same story on my corolla2000. Light was blinking but ignored ( a Chinese garage didn't know it was a sensor-failure but just said the door of gas-tank not sealed well ). No problem for a few months. Later the car always halted when driving very slow. Replacing 4 sparking-plugs in same garage ( $140 ) didn't fix the problem. Finally it got fixed by replacing oxiode-sensor in another white-people garage ( $100, sensor didn't cost much but gtheir labour is expensive ). I think you can live with the problem until it gets really worse. But you should know the root cause instead spending money to replace other more expensive parts
