For the male side, if this guy receive enough education and influence from the mainstream calture, he may not care about it. This is especially true for the young and well-educated guys. Because they know what is the most treasurable of a girl, not the virgin, but the personality, which will affect the family life for the whole life of both. Indeed, in history, we Chinese neither care about this much.

For the female side, if this girl is confident enough, and with a good personaility, this wont be a trouble at all. However, some gals are just too inconfident about themselves, and as they got trouble in their future marriage, the first thing coming to their mind is the viginity. They will recall the time staying with their first lover, and make comparison, and this makes them further feel unsatisfied with their current husbands. and whatever the process will be, they will get trouble.
