to Times Square, that's the nerve of the city. I
think just wandering around is fun already, especially
at night with all the lights flashing. And you might
want to catch a broadway show there. 'Phanton of the
opera','42nd Street', 'beauty and the beast',
'contact' are absolutely gorgeous. And if you don't
mind waiting in the line for 1-2 hours, you can get
half price tickets (front seats!) for the day for most
of the shows(about 90/2=$45). BTW, with a student ID, even
cheaper.
Central Park is nice place to visit too. In
summer time so many people are jogging, roller
skating, or walking the dogs there. Just sitting there
in the sun to watch is a way to enjoy life, I think.
Needless to say the park is very close to some nice
museums. Metropolitan and Natural history are my
favourites. And the Empire State is highly recommended to visit at night.
I went there twice, and shocked by the nice night
view there. I won't miss it if I were you. Ground
Zero (WTC) is a place that many visitors want to go,
and it would be nice to go there to take a
look at the downtown area especially the Wall street.
All the places mentioned above just the famous 'MUST
GO' and can be easily accessed by the subway. You can
