low desk fee, say $40 per month, you still have to pay adversiting, car matainence (long distance driveing per day 100 - 150 kms), gas, your cell phone, pager, computer, internet.......

So what I heard is you may have to have $6000 expense for the first 6-8 months. And if you are new immigrant, you don't know anybody here, you need time to establish networking here, that might takes time too. Real Estate Agent is not a easy job. Besides, there are 100,000 people take real estate exam in Ontario, which is double than 2001.
