there are many ways to format the disk. the simple is in DOS. >format c:/s. right?

Few people now have files in C:/dos if using win95/98/2k.

If you have your win95/98 startup disk, you can use it to format your disk, for instance, A:>format C:(if C: is the disk your want to format). If you don't have startup disk, go to control panel-->Add/Remove Programs to make a Windows startup disk.
Thank u very much! In my computer, I have had a c:and D:, E: is cd drive. Can I format the new hard disk drive and name it as F:?
