I think that is because talking is faster than writing. If you write some thing in forum, it could be still there. But in the chat room it had gone.

You can download a new internet 5.5 install document, then selected custermize components and choose Chinese Display and Input.

Thanks.. I'm already using IE5.5 with the necessary Chinese gadgets - that's why I can read Chinese in the forum; but the chatroom doesn't allow me to pick encoding schemes. :-( Chat in English, will ya?
