win2k? go to control panel->users and passowords. uncheck users must enter a usre .... computer check box. if it still doesn't work, u might be in a domain, get a tweakui for win2k then.

try delete all the .pwd files in your windows directory; then after reboot, just click ok. You will not be prompted for password next time then. It's myexperience on win95, maybe also works on win98.
