  • 工作学习 / 事业与工作 / How do I answer this interview question: What's the most frustrated thing you've met in our company? - My recent interview (2)
本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛It was a panel interview with two interviewers. One was my department manager Mr.B and the another Mrs.S was from associate service (HR). I was exciting and nervous, though I had passed serveral interviews since I landed in Canada. I wanted to become a full time associate as others. It meaned much to me and my family.

After brief introduction, Mrs. S started firing questions and made notes of my answers. The followings were some of the questions:

    - Having worked more than one year in our company, hoe do you understand "a team"?

    - Have you participated in any quality, safety or innovation program?

    - What kinds of characters do you think team leader should have?

I felt a little bit relax when I answered the above questions. However, I became hesitated when I heard this one:

    - What's the most frustrated thing you have met in our company?

I did not know how to cope with this one. My colleagues told me not to say any bad thing about company during interview. Is it a trick question? How do I answer it?更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
    • 如果说没有FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE不太真实. 不如举个例子, 重要的是要SHOW你如何DEAL WITH IT POSITIVELY
      • Thanks dropoutinmiami - I passed the interview. My colleague answered this way...
One of my colleague told me his answer: "I'm frustrated when I designated my job to others when I'm away. I wana the job done perfectly"

    • " He didn't pass the interview, he lost the chance forever." - "My recent interview (3)"
本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛One of my colleague told me yesterday:" Do you know Mike? I have heard that he didn't pass the interview and he has lost his chance of full time associate forever." " Really?" I asked "Too bad for him. What does he gona do?" "He has to start to hunt another job."

I still remember the very interview two weeks ago. A few questions have probably stayed in my mind forever:

      "What's your career objective?"

"What are you gona do if you are heired as a full time associates?"

I didn't say that I would buy a house near my work, although that was what I had dreamed of. Instead, I said I would continue to improve my productivity, quality, safety, and to participate more company community involvement.

"How do you think of company associate service?"

In order to easy the tension of the inerview, at the end of questions, I said that as a new immigrant, I felt it would be a life time task for me to learn English and Canadian culture.

Mr. B (interviewer, department manager) encouraged me:" Your English is pretty good. Learning a foreign language is challenging and interesting." He even shared me with his tips of learning Japaness - Listen to radio on your way to work.

In the forthcoming Saturday, there was a 5 hours test (also called written test) in an college. Whose who passed the interview were informed to take this written test. Our company had arranged this test which showed company's emphasis on literature and team work (problem-solving ability).

My department coordinator walked to me while I was working that Thurday. "What are you gona to do this weekend?" he asked with a smile. Thinking the test on the coming Saturday, I replied: "I don't have any plan yet. What's up?" "There is a letter ofr you" - Ohh, I passed the interview!

It would be a long way to go for me to become a full time associate. I take nothing for granted. My team leader and my colleagues all crossed their fingers for me.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
    • I was expecting this interview and it came finally - My recent interview (1)
Several days ago, my team leader told me that there was a interview for me that afternoon. I had been expecting this interview since a few of my colleagues had theirs.

I've worked for this company for more than 15 months. Small cars and minivans are its products that have a strong market demand. It's a medium size company with more than 4,000 associates. As a industry leading comapny, it has a clean and fast-paced work environment. There are full time, contractor and co-op student associates there. Students are to return college or university when their co-op terms are due. Contractor associates are dream of becoming full time associates due to exceptional pay and benefit package.
      • what do you mean by "full time associates"? good for you to pass the interview :)
        • They use "full time associate" as permanent employee, and "temp" as temporary employee including contractors.
