  • 工作学习 / English / Jabber's English Note---002
Since we began to learn English, we have been used to the following questions:

    Do you have any sisters?
Do you have any sisters and brothers?

However, things are not as simple as we usually believe. For instance, if you show off your English before a professor, he/she may ask you: "Do you have any siblings? " Usually, people do not use this word. But in the paper work, it is quite common to use "siblings" instead of "brothers and sisters".
    • Siblings is a common word, no need to show off dude
      • he means somebody else show off. Where is my car?
      • Maybe someone don't know. At least his post is helpful.
      • Your English is so cozy. It is a pity for you to kill your time with us dumb guys.
        • the sacarsm is so rich I am dipping a strawberry in it
      • You are so great than us!
      • I just know the word 'sibling'. Do you mean you are showing off?
    • I didn't know 'sibling' before:-) Thank you.
      • U should work hard on English, babe.
        • Have you ever heard this word?
        • Thank you :-) I will try my best :-)
          • Sorry to call you babe. *<|:-)
            • That doesn't matter :-) I know you are kind-hearted:-)
              • 3ks.
      • If you are familiar with MFC, you will know there is a member function GetNextSiblingItem in the CTreeView or CTreeCtrl class.
        • I did use MFC several years ago in a Windows-based project, but I didn't get a chance to use CTreeView and CTreeCtrl :-( There are too many classes and too many functions in one class in VC++ :-(
    • THANKS.
    • Thank u! It's helpful.
