JAL is the best airline I have ever seen. I flew business class last year from Chicago to Osaka -numnum(numnum); 2001-6-25 {514} (#111320@0)
The food and wine were terrific, they were even more japanese than the dinners I had back in Osaka, I still remember the taste of the plum wine, emm... The service was great too, stewardesses were young, beautiful and friendly. The only downside was that if you are flying from Beijing, you might have to stay a night in Osaka or Tokoyo, and you need some kind of transit visa if you are holding a chinese passport. But why don't you treat this night as an opportunity to taste a little bit tokoyo night life?

My memeory told me that you dont need a visa prior your arrival in that case. We took a JAL filght from LA to Beijing with one night stop-over at Osaka. -hearts(hearts); 2001-6-25 (#111408@0)

But I am not sure if I need to offload my luggage, If yes, It maybe big problem to new immigrant with lots of luggages. Who know how JAL deal with stopover flight's luggages? Or Their Agent 's telphone number?
