  • 枫下家园 / 人到中年 / cathy_2008(羽你同乐)提到跑步提高睡眠质量,想到上周日 meditation活动时一同修说他用 小米手环监测深度睡眠时间,以前是一个多小时,meditation一个多月后(每天约20分钟,主要是各种腹式呼吸)现已达到两个多小时,而其小孩的深度睡眠则为三个多小时。

    这也是我第一次亲身听到有确切数据记录meditation可改善睡眠的实例,故与大家分享,谢谢。当时人也在rolia。

      • 你说的有一定道理,腁弃纷繁的思绪和杂念,由内在真我来guide,但要解释或确切定义meditation很难,只有当你做了一段时间并有所感觉才会明白,一同修說practice一年后才真正懂得什么是meditation,当然具体感受因人而异或早或晚,谢谢。

        • 不完全是这样。每个人不一样,适应压力缓解压力的能力不同,对周围环境的敏感度也不同。有的人很容易做到安静平和,但有的人不能适应在别人看来正常的事。头脑的安静和平和是正常行为的基础,达到这个境界各人的经历做法也不同
          • 是啊,不能适应是生活状况出了问题。健康遭罪了。 有些人甚至通过毒品暂时达到的安静平和。
            • 对有的人来说是自身健康出了问题。之后寻医问药很平常的。对于病人用药很平常的事,如果是在医生指导下用药,我看没什么问题。你说的毒品,大都是兴奋剂,而非镇定剂,使用者追求的是high,而不是倒头睡觉
              • 因为低迷,才要兴奋剂。达到镇定。
          • I got no difficulty calming myself down and staying the way it is, however upsetting the surroundings can intend to be. Nature and personality rock. :)

            本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛All over the world the new generation is so attracted by drugs. The reason is this: because the drug for a moment, or for a few moments, chemically puts the mind aside. You look at the world—now the colors all around are simply miraculous. You had never seen such a thing. An ordinary flower becomes the whole existence, carries the whole glory of the divine. An ordinary leaf becomes so deep, as if the whole truth is revealed through it. Everything and anything immediately changes.
            The drug cannot change the world; the drug is only chemically putting your mind aside. But you can become addicted to it—then the mind has absorbed the drug also. Only once, in the beginning, for the first time, or twice or three times, you can deceive the mind chemically. By and by, the mind becomes attuned to the drug, the mind again takes its mastery. The original shock is lost. It becomes addicted to the drug. Then it demands, and now the demand is coming from the mind. Now, by and by, even chemically you will not be able to push the mind aside. It will be there, you will be addicted. Trees will again become old, colors will not be so radiant, things will again become dull. The drug has killed you; it couldn’t kill the mind.
            The drug can only give you a shock treatment. It is a shock to the whole body chemistry. In that shock, the old adjustment is broken. Gaps are there; through the gaps you can look, but this cannot be made a practice. You cannot practice a drug. Sooner or later it becomes part of the mind; the mind takes over. Then everything is old again.
            Only meditation can kill the mind, nothing else. Meditation is mind suicide, mind committing suicide. If you can put the mind aside—without any chemicals, without any physical means—then YOU become the master. And when you are the master, everything is new. It has been always so.             • However they have been interpreted respectively , is it rational to say that hypnosis is more scientifically backed up than meditation?
              • You could think in that way. in my opinion, meditation is more sophisticated, which is beyond what present science can explain .....
                • The more abstract, the more restless and misty. Meditation in that regard seems whatever it's been perceived to be however it's been. Anyone can be his own meditation master, while hypnosis has to be learnt professionally at school.

      • 按我的理解,尝试meditation的人也会尝试这些方法。至于那一个更有用,因人而异吧。也有人对这些都不起作用,要尝试其他方法。当你接触的人多了以后,就会发现,自己的经验不会适应每个人的。让别人试试又何妨 +2

        • My understanding is that meditation is not the ultimate solution for all, and personality has the final say.

    • OK to ask why and how you got yourself in meditation, if not naturally born into it?:) I'm more fascinated by the reason behind the fact that you're in it now than the fact itself, if not offensive.
      • Good question. 英文不好,为求大家能理解,只好中文了。那还是约九年前,因车祸脑腹腔出血及身体从肩膀到脚部多处骨折,即便出院后仍需每周几次去Toronto Rehab Hospital做康复治疗。
        在两个therapy 之间,有一小时空档,我的OT(occupational therapist)便介绍说正好这一小时有meditation program,当时我对meditation一无所知,不但觉得无益于我的疗愈,甚至认为完全是迷信。但OT劝说不妨一試,若不喜欢可随时退出。由于这一小时确实无事可做,又因身体的原因独自去不了任何地方便决定试试看。这一试,便再未停下来。前两三次,只是不反感,也无特别的感受,但首次发现大脑中的杂念一个接着一个不断。从第四次开始,思绪在减少,感受到Joy 从心里产生,逐渐地杂念越来越少,不但自己,连周围的朋友也逐渐感受到了自己的快乐。。。后来我的主治医生和所有therapists 都说我是他们从业以来恢复得最好的patient, 这其中纵然有他们的共同努力,但我清楚应主要应归功于meditation ,感谢Nancy,my OT, 让我接触到meditation;感谢Manisha, my first meditation instructor,从此我的人生发生了根本性改变。。。谢谢。
        • Is it possible that personality may get in the way of meditation process, negatively or positively? What's the decisive role personality may play in the process,or no role at all?
          • 第一个问题的答案是definitely yes. 自信,坚持和毅力我认为是至关重要的,因为在这其中有各种各样的考验,很多人往往通不过半途而废,谢谢。
            • You meant personality can stand on its own in the process, not necessarily in alignment with psychiatrical or clinical analysis?
              • 我觉得应是both,更多的practice 会促进 positive personality 的成长,亦反过来有益于meditation,二者是相辅相成的,但有一临界点,即佛家称为的修行须先“修心”,古代师傅带徒弟亦是先磨炼其意志或心几年,再教真正的东西。很多人还未到达这一点,就轻易放弃了。

        • 真是不幸中的幸运。同样的冥想对不同的人效果迥异,对你非常有用,而对我就只能算弹琴了。
          • 或许你可尝试下不同的冥想方法,参加我们活动的短则一两个月,长则三个月都有了明显的效果,大部分都有了气动。。。谢谢。
    • mediation非常好,我练习的是太极的静坐,道家太极气功,佛家气功,以及瑜伽都是大同小异,目的就是让人体内放松下来,气血通畅,真的放松静下来你自己都不需要医生,那里有痛静中就可以感觉到,通过放松就可以达到治疗的效果

    • 高中生理卫生书上不是说了吗?青少年每天跑步可以长高2-10公分,而且身体健康,多鼓励自己的孩子每天跑步
      • 跑步绝对可以增强免疫力; 昨天朋友说跑步用到一个词-轻盈曼妙,这种感觉真的很好哟。
