      It costs you about 150 USD. For details, please visit java.sun.com and you will find a link to subjects about certificates. I am a Sun
      certified programmer. I don't think a certificate can bring you a job. Of course, getting such a certificate can force you to lay down a solid foundation in Java language.
      Please do not rely on the certificates. Companies needs hands-on Java experiences in Java projects. If you have ever done one or two true projects in Java, it will help you a lot in job hunting.

        In fact , I worked in the field MIS after my Graduation as a bachelor. and took part in two large projects. (Invested by the Bank of World)

        I used Oracle 、Sybase、Sql--Server 、Power Build、VB On the Window95/98/NT
        mainly in my work.
        Of couse some other software like Erwin、PowerDesigner would been used when I designed the system .
        I used Java in a small B--to--C project as a part time job.

        I think those are my main experience.
        Java is used in most filed oversea .So
        I want to learn some more about Java
        and want to get a certificate.

        I donot think I am very accomplished in any field .Because , I alway use something when the projects need. This is thing I am very afraid of .
        I would go to Canada in the February of 2001 .Would you give me some suggestion.

          Dear Lily,

          You are so seasoned. Of course, you need to be an expert in some fields. Java is really a good direction for people like you. Sun Certification can help you master Java language. If you are determined to become a Java programmer, I suggest you get a certification within 2 months.

          By the way, if you want to flatter me, please do not say " You are very sincere...". Thanks. :-):-):
