  • 工作学习 / IT杂谈 / anybody give me some suggestion about learning Oracle?
I'm waiting LP and I'm studying in America now, my degree is MBA in MIS. We have both management courses as well as Computer courses. We have learned HTML and JAVA Script this semester and will learn Oracle in next semester. I have no idea with Oracle by now. But i know it is rather powerful and the person with solid Oracle skill can get a good salary. I want to become a programmer after graduation so i hope i can learn more technical stuff by myself. If i want to be a programmer concentrated in DB, what other computer skills i should learn? Hope to get your help.. Thanks
    • Set up a Windows NY Server at home, Install an Oracle 8i
You can either download Oracle 8i for buy a trial CD from www.oracle.com.

At present, knowing HTML and Javascript is not a big deal. Since you juts learnt these subject at school, I dare to say you just know some basics. Hope you try to know more advanced topics in these two subjects.

Choosing Oracle is a good decision. But you should be really competent in it. Visit www.oracle.com will give you more senses.
Anyway, you should first have an Oracle instance at home.
      • Thanks, jabber, actually i have visited Oracle website this afternoon and downloaded some information of OCP as well as 8i..although i admit i don't know much about it now, I believe i can do well in the future.
Hope can learn more from u later, thanks again. and best wishes.
