.dat means data file. So it's user by many softwares for their data files. Here you need to know the right format needed by FNN you mentioned. Anyone who does not know FNN cannot help you.

You can just assign your output file name to be "xxxxxx.dat" and write data into that file. Or just use notepad to create one. Then in your program to open and read the file.
