  • 工作学习 / 援助潘中原 / 捐款有收据没有?
    当然没有也要捐,但有最好了,明年可以退税。hehe

    等我有空进城再去看望吧,乡下不方便啊。
    • we don't have a GST number yet, which we need to issue tax receipts, but I encourage you to itemize your donation to Pan on your tax return anyway, plus an explaination attached, CCRA will let you through
      • Thanks
So is there any problem getting the GST number? I mean if we get the number, we could be able to collect donations in a wider way. What do you think guys?
        • Let me look into the Charity Registration, might take some time
      • When your guys started today? :-(( I was there around 11:15am, but I couldn't find any banner of Rolia...
    • 我想私人捐款没有资格申请腿睡, 只有向政府部门捐才被认可, even you donate money to Church, you cna't get tax-return.
      • actually it's deductible if you can apply for a charity status, let me look into it
        • Donations to registered charities and political parties cannot deductible, otherwise, you can claim.
          • It's deductible to registered charities, which is what we are trying to become, although it's nonrefundable dect, plus, itemize it, CCRA will let you claim it if you can explain the cause
            • i just check tax ACT s18(1)(a)and s18(1)(n)
              • 据我所知给Charity捐款是有tax deduction的,我们公司经常有募捐,一般$10以上都有收据。

本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛I don't want to argue, but the following is what I have to say

donations are calculated on Schedule 9 of your return, line 349 to be exact, if you make contribution to political parties, you can claim in on line 409

usually you can claim donation up to 75% of your net income, but in Pan's case, you can claim 100% of your contribution since Pan is a qualified donee listed by CCRA

The ITA IS NOT THE Best reading if you want clarity, CCRA goes by Interpretation Bulletins issued by the ministry of finance

You can claim donations made by either you or your spouse. Enter your claim from the calculation on Schedule 9 and attach it to your paper return.

Receipts - You don't need a receipt to claim your donation to Pan, he's a cancer patient who is terminally ill

                Qualified donees
Generally, you can claim only amounts you gave to Canadian registered charities and other qualified donees. Unlike other donations, your claim for these types of gifts is not limited to a percentage of net income. You can choose the part you want to claim in 2000, and carry forward any unused part for up to five years.更多精彩文章及讨论,请光临枫下论坛 rolia.net
