the 1st thing is to find an employer.
though tn is renewable on a yearly basis, as long as the company keeps hiring u, the renewal is no problem.
if not considering work, just cross usa-canada border, as citizens, it is even more convenient.
aftert taking the new policy for the H1B, the holder could be staying in USA over 6 months. So jusy stay in USA if you could.
