Thanks!
    • No big difference besides incoming...
Not all in US are better than those in Canada, and not all in Canada are not good... This is based on the politics of country and living expence. US's living expense is higher than in Canada.....
      • Your english sucks, you meant to say: Nothing big difference except incoming...
        • I think you should learn English grammar....
      • 9494 :)
    • My lord, why must I be the first rate?
Those 'first guys' are boring people, who never have leisure, who don't know the melody of life, who never have a weekwend and suffer from others better than them. They seek money and fame in expense of life, friendship and love. They don't know when to smell rose and even don't know what it is! I am happy I am not this first rate guy!

      Yours 50% truly

Actually, no one is better in this world.
      • Totally agree! Many of my classmates went to the States for study, they are not smarter than me at all, but they like study much more than me, haha
        • I agree!
Stop here! OK?
    • what means 'excellent'?
higher score at Toefl, GRE? -- that's only the entrance for the university. many local person cannot get such good mark compare with Chinese, but they speak and THINK in English, how about Chinese? ur US. classmates make no diff. with u.
otherwise, higher degree? -- that doesn't make sense too. many guys remain in the US. university just because they cannot find suitable job if they go outside the campus. even they get higher and higher degree, it's still not the right way.

the respect is not based on the degree and language, that's only tools. we immi. to CA, struggle from the bottom, live on out own hands, we are same excellent as any other ones.

come on man. think about this question is stupid. no one can give the definition to 'excellent'. i AM excellent, hope u consider the same way to yourself too.
      • good! shake hands :)
      • The condition is always changing.
本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛About 10 years ago, it was much easier to get US student visa than Canada student authorization. At that time, Canada rarely accepted international students without scholarship/fellowship but you could easily get US school admission. So it is quite common that people with lower performance in the universities come to US because they had some rich relatives or sponsors. I knew many such instances in my class.
However, Canada's door opened much wider since mid-90s, thanks to the "independent immigration" policy. New Chinese immigrants are comming with different educational/profession backgrounds and from different regions of China.
In the meantime, some people move from Canada to US, the only super-power in the world, for various reason. There are extremely guys looking for better chances in the states (the scale of Canadian economy is not comparable to its American counterpart). There are also people simple admire the power of Uncle Sam and want to join them. I saw people doing the same type of work both in Canada and US - they might make more if the currency exchange rate is taken into consideration but unfortunately, the place the live only recognize the US$ amount rather than x1.5.
Where a person move to depends on many factors so it is really ridiculous for some person boast themselves as being superior to others simply because they are in US. The only comparable measurement is what one achieves in his life, simply moving to the south can hardly prove anything.
