    I have landed Vancouver for two monthes. I got a lot of help here and hope this information can help others. I understand some friends are calculating how long they can support their family with their savings.
    Taking a two-person family as example:

    Rental: 550-800, one bedroom apart.. one or two bedroom house.
    Phone(resident+cell): 30+30=60
    Cable TV: 20-40
    Internet: 5-30
    Car: 200-300(insurance +fuel+parking)
    MSP: 64
    Food: 200-300
    Plus(if applicable): tuition, entertainment(movie and eat out), clothes+unexpected cost...

    Usually it is about 1500-2000 per month for a small family or arround 100 thousands RMB per year.
