one trick, install linux after 98, otherwise, 98 will erase lilo no matter how you partition ur hd.
Take a look at this link. Well I admit there are too many entries but pay attention to those beginning with Linux+??? half way down the page.

linux 你的Home 最好和其它分开,这样如果系统崩溃,需要重装时,自己的文件,程序等不会被format掉。最好user也分开,你可能自己安装了其它软件,像gdb,ddd之类的不用重下载了

That is a very good point. What I meant was that Linux can occupy an extended partition and on that partition you can have as many logic partitions as you want for /, /home, /usr etc. filesystems.

Unlike any other unix for PC which uses a self contained partition that will be further divided into filesystems, linux's partition scheme is the same with dos.
you are right

of course. You can use Linux setup disk to partition your harddrive. (PM is also OK, but u have to download one. Linux one is engough good for you), then setup your other systems. I did it by this way.

No problem at all. I installed five systems on my PC. using lilo to boot SuSE linux, OpenLinux and NT server. from NT boot loader it load win98 and then from win98 to boot a QNX-RTOS.
