good question, York is in historic Toronto, which is about 3 KM south of Downtown toronto.
Also do check out the Royal ON Museum, at Queen's Pak & Bloor, it is the largest museum in Eastern Canada, the Dinosaur exihbition is absolutely mesmerizing
