        If you can, try NOT to move on a weekend at the end of a month. Most moving companies book more customers they can handle at monthend and then just show up late; If you have to move at monthend, book the early hours. Otherwise you might end up begging the superintendent to let you in at 10:00pm.

        Make sure the moving company has insurance covering your furniture and the movers.
