      Just tell your husband that layoff is a common thing in the western society.
      Having been laidoff does not mean you are not good. Though IT industry is in a hard time, your husband can still get a new job provided he keeps trying.

      By the way, as I left China 4 years ago, I had
      a debt of $60K RMB. Now I still own some money to my friends. I do not own any money to my parents because they don't have money.

      Frankly speaking, new immigrants are deemed to suffer too much. Trust me, your life will become better and better. Just give you an English phrase: Every dog has his days!
