The demonstration against policy of Canadian Government in parental
sponsorship will held on Friday, March 11 at 11:00 am in front of Mr.
Volpe, Minister of Immigration and Citizenship, office at Bathurst and
Lawrence, Toronto.
Please bring your family members, including children and babies in
strollers, and friends.
The total time of the demonstration is not more than 45 minutes.
Police will provide security.
If you want to attend the demonstration please send e-mail with number

Please send suggested slogans to Luda as soon as possible.
actually, we were taling about use BLUE cause it represent " upset". There will be 8-10 people in the protest group with BLUE ribbon as organizer of the event.

I strongly support the parade. But I think we need to emphasize that the inequity is unacceptable to all (including other minorities and white Canadian). Unique costume probably won't serve our purpose.

今晚接到TorontoStar的电话，（不是推销报纸），但背景噪音很大，听不清那位女士在说什么，她说以后再打来。（我想她不会的）。我估计是跟我发的那封email有关，因为我都有三年没有接到讲英语的电话了。而我周日发的email，周一就有人打电话来。在遇到这种情况是否让她跟我们的spoker person 联系呀？
1. 示威游行：3月11号上午11点开始。大家可以稍微提早一点到。地址是： 511 Lawrence Ave. West, North York, Ontario. 在lawrence和bathurst 十字路口，哪里有一个plaza区，有一个"winners" 商店，女同志们，我们都应该知道“Winners" 哦，当好引路人哦。活动大概进行1小时左右，如果有的人来早一点，走晚一点，可能就是2小时左右。
2. 示威游行那天我们大家要言行一致，有些媒体就爱问一些怪怪的问题来将我们大家打成一盘散沙，所以不管他们问什么，我们一定要记住我们示威游行的主题是“要和我们的父母团聚，要政府尊重我们的基本权利，不准对我们不理不睬。” （government can't ignore us, we are tax payer and hard working people, where is the fairness to us in such stupid system.等等。不要跑题）如果，你不知道怎么回答一些问题，就说你们问spoker person 好了。
4. slogan也要一致。我们准备在游行前作标语，具体时间还没定，但是会提前1-2天。我们要做20个 24X36 的大slogan, 5个小一点的slogan for kids. 都是英语的，所以，如果你想写自己的语言（中文，新疆语-打个比方）就要自己准备了。我建议我们中国人一定一定要有自己语言的slogan哦！！我需要朋友当中谁书法好的，最好家里有现成的工具材料等。

if you know the story about "shame" in the house of common, then you porbably agree with "shame" slogan.
one member in the house of common used to ask Joe Volpe a question: did you know there are so many problems on the immigration system?? and Joe Volpe answered: I don't think we have any problems in this system, my department is running very good, and SHAME on you to ask me this question because our system is the best !
The original dialogue may not exactly same as above, but this is truth happened in January.
That's why we need slogan to let hime know we as applicants (or sponsors) SHAME on him and his system.
"Shame on Joe Volpe! Shame on Immigration!" I think this should be changed to something else!!

不过建议想好怎么说，千万别一句不慎搞的失去其他人的支持。比方说，强调人道主义，不要太强调孝心，老外不会理解住一起就是有孝心，更不要话里话外让人觉得不办父母移民的就是没孝心。还有，不要强调父母来不会给政府带来负担，因为事实是明摆着的；更不要提什么难民同性恋这些敏感问题。只强调办理父母团聚是我们的权利和政府的承诺，是基于人道主意，对政府的效率和名额分配不满。加油！

I fully support the demonstration and will participate in it. It's not only for those who want to sponser their parents' immigration, but also to show the authority that this community is not neglectable.
We want to live with our parents as a normal Canadian family do. Canada regards itself as the world leader of human rights. The policy is sarcastic. It's basically saying "We need more taxpayers. But don't bring your parents to the country." We need to have slogans, such as "No human rights!", etc.
I strongly suggest that you can invite CTV, Toronto Star and all major Chinese Newspapers to condemn immigration Canada. It's not an issue of lack of staff, it's an issue of attitude.
