    Like father, like son.

    This phrase suggests that the son is fantastic because of his father.
    People can find it in New English-Chinese Dictionary.

    A few days ago, I re-united with some old fellows. One guy has a very beautiful daughter. In particular, her eyes are so big and bright. Of course, all of us needed to flatter this guy. What I said is: "Like mother, like daughter." I am still delighted for my flattering.

    If somebody says Ji-Ang's son(duaghter?) is so smart, I would follow hiim by saying "Like father, like son."

      But things are not so true from a long term view, that is just the initiation of the evolution of lifes. After thousands of hundred years, the son will be obviously different from his father.
