thank you Da4 Xia2. I don't like to install a Linux in my PC. I just need to telnet to a unix site to learn some commands. So, I need one free UNIX environment for me to telnet.

Linux doesn't cost a lot of space and one penny. Basic installation is not complicated at all. It's the best and fastest way to learn unix if you can operate your own system, and won't make your phone line always busy. Just my 2 cents.

I am afraid you can't get such a environment. Not everything is free. To install a Linux is the best way.

If you don't want to reinstall your PC, you could find a distribution of Linux called PhatLinux (www.phatlinux.com) which allows you to install linux within your WIndows portation. I think it's easier for you. Good Luck

Linux itself has a little file to help you re-partition disk, no need to re-install the whole system on pc at all.

Learn to be a good UNIX user? Install winlinux 2000. It runs under windows like an application.

Try to find some UNIX server, remote login to that server. that's it.. You needn't install Linux if you just wanna learn basic knowledge of UNIX command
