New Altima and Acura TL (1.6L) is of about the same price as a new Corola. They are economical cars, saving gas and lasting a long time. I am afraid they are the choice of people who want to save money in the long run.

what??? corolla is economical car, altima is mid level car, acura tl is entry level luxury car, by the way, tl has 3.2 engine, not 1.6, that's EL in previous years(2002 has 1.7).

Sorry I am not familiar with Acura. Only I know a friend bought a new 1.6L Acura TL or TB at $22000 after tax. But I do know a basic Altima GXE is about the same prize as a Corola.

the 2002 altima isn't that cheap anymore, the previous model was still in mid level because the price range is beween 20000&30000, like it's competitors accord, camry, jetta, impala, taurus.....

Altima is V4, while Accord & Camry is V4 or V6. Jetta is the ecnomical car from VW. Impala and Taurus are V6, but they are American cars. And I know another friend about an Accord at the price of a Corola too.

It only has with only AC, radio and CD player. A new Taurus, on the other hand, has power window, power lock, anti-lock break, etc., in the basic price.
I am talking from my own experience. My husband's dream car is a Maxima, which is out of our budget. We finally bought a Taurus instead of an Altima.

After all, as you admitted it save more gas than a Maxima. Trust me, the more gas a car consumes, the more worthy it is. BTW, I am quite familiar with Nissan, Toyata and Honda.

it was EL for sure, i am talking about canadian market, Acura EL is always similar with Civic, since 2001 civic has bigger engine(1.7) acura EL has called 1.7EL since then

and TL had 2.5 and 3.2 before, the 2002 model has only 3.2 engine, but two models, the regular has 225HP, the type S has 260, same as CL model, CL had 2.2 before.

I know nothing of BMW and am sure I will never have anything to do with it. Anyway, I think $90000 (USD or CAD) for a BMW3xx is a waste of money. The same is with Atima, which is called a "perfect Sentra".
