that 6 month will earn him a lot of goodwill, contacts and even credibility. He will accumulate lots of important information. i am sure, even at this time, opportunities exist and emerge. Among the equally qualified job-seekers, who will be given these opportunities? I think they
- have access to the opportunity (ie information, contacts, goodwill)
- are trusted (ie credibility)
I feel these factors are more important than the interview/resume techniques, provided you are on par with other candidates in terms of competence.
