在Ellesmere&Vitoria Park, 三台机share上网,原来任何一台机都可以作服务器.但这三天只有其中一台能作server,其它就算是直接上都不行.打电话过去,又说是地区问题 .;-( -enternet(Enternet); 2001-11-18 (#266220@0)

I think the NIC address is bound to the ip by roger's DHCP server for at least one hour or more. It seems that every time you try to connect to the internet. you NIC address is recorded by the server. one hour later, if you use the same computer accessing the net, you will be connected while all the other computers are refused. I don't think it is malfunction of the server. Now I have to apply for another IP from rogers , which cost me extra 9.99$.

Maybe not. If you use router to share internet, router can clone one MAC address and never changed. So the Rogers DHCP server know only one computer connect all the time. -skywalker(sky88); 2001-11-18 (#266306@0)

yes, router can simulate MAC address, but it is expensive , the cheapest one is about 100$. Maybe rogers will limit router next time. who knows. in fact use USB hub is also ok for sharing. -lyh(没有昵称); 2001-11-18 (#266390@0)
