    • Compared with China. You have been China before?
      • I don't think people in china dress up that well... you? Don't take me wrong, be their styles are ridiculous and the what really hits my spot are their ties
        • hehe. It depends among cities. How about canada compared with HK? Forget about the ties. I saw something worse.
          • spare me with the Double Windsor, it's very irritating to see one, Thin and small knots are in now, go with the flow...Oh I am talking abut the working environment
            • Tell boss to hire more PPMM. Then you don't care what they are wearing. Less better.
      • But the suits are not very expensive here.
        • it adds up though, how many suits do you regularly wear?
          • Sorry, I am so poor and no work. So no need for that. But I heard 200 would buy a nice one. Is that right?
            • 200 would land a decent one, especially near xmas, sales of suits are on the rise since the dotcom bust, Harry Rosen, who is a dealer of Armani, recorded 20% increase on suits sales last year
              • So I mean the price is almost as same as in China. You have to spend about that amount to buy a nice one in big cities.
          • I don't know if you can ask them to make a special one for you?
    • I think every company has certain dress code, especially those in traditional industries. It seems that business casual is very common nowadays. slimpiggy, could you give some examples that fit into this category?
      • If your solicitor charges you 250 bux an hour and he's wearing khakis and a golf shirt, how do you like that?
        • I believe they should dress up. What I meant was that I think business casual is popular now. And I don't think u can wear anything casual and call it 'business casual'. There're certain rules as well. Do u think so?
      • They don't care only because you are not part of them. In university, chic fashionable girl or boy always get together, which is also true in China.
Cloth are unseperated part of personal style.
          • I just bought esprit today. I think the style looks good. And I found Canadian pay more attention to clothes.
      • Since my upper torso is the only part you can peek at through the window of my MB, therefore I usually don't wear any pants
        • really, I am getting more and more curious about your look.
I read a news, a woman with no pants was stoped by police on her way to work. rich people all like that ha ha ha
          • My pants are too expensive, if I wear them, they will get rinked, so I put them in a nice anti-static bag and put them on when I absolutely have to...
            • No wonder only part of people can be rich. Not everone can come to such a brilliant idea.
no joking here, new comer like us usually live in poor area. No much chance go to chic place. So they have some delusion about Canadian. Or, sometimes you know engineers normally don't pay too much attention to their dressing. You lucky canadian have so much time to pay attention to your dressing and at the same time keep your career. In china, do you know how many exams we have to take every year. No many Chinese can keep a good balance between academic scores and recreation life.
              :)
