keep your computer on, and try to connect to the net from time to time. It should be ok several hours later. The address of your network is bound to the IP by rogers now. The bind will be reassigned in a certain period.

thank you.but tonight is 50 hours after i changed the computer. there is still no IP address. i was told by @home that the maximum is 3 days. how can i do now? appreciate your help

Start your first computer, run "ipconfig /release" in DOS prompt.
Then start your second computer, it should be OK. Dude, you are so dump.

i still cant conect after 5 days i changed the computer.
if i want to release the information on the first computer ,does it need modem? and just go to DOS to release it. thank you very much.

Connect your first computer with rogers and then run the command.

Change your network card. I think at least you can try the network card from your first computer.
