  • 枫下沙龙 / 谈天说地 / If your kids (or you) watch cartoon, I need your tips on channels and time slot for good programs. ( No Simpsons, I know that one :) )
Folks at home are asking me to tape some kid's TV programs and bring it to China during my Xmas visit. It should suit the needs of 2-6 year kid who want to learn English. Thanks in advance.
    • how about Treehouse, my son likes that program
    • Chanel: TVO kidskids. Kajio(wrong spelling), Arthor, Magic school bus. My son's favourites are DigiMon and PokeMon, but I don't think these two are good for kids.
    • If you can receive channel 45, 51 in North York, I recommend
Channel 45 (YTV), Caillou ( pronounced as kai u)
      Channel 51 (Family), Franklin,

Both are very good programs for yr 2-6 kids, good morale, good pronounciation.

Some other good ones: Arthur, Little Bear (not sure its exact name), and etc.
If you can't receive those two channels, you can buy videotapes, around $10 each.

I did the same thing for my nephew when I went back to China.
    • Caillou, Blue's clue, Sagwa - the chinese siamese cat.
You can find the program schedule via http://listings.clicktv.com/index.asp?cid=AEG. My 3.5 yrs and 1.5 yrs' favorate is Caillou, a four-year old boy's growing up stories. I've taped 4 cassettes for them. Sagwa is for kids around 5 year old, but i found it is great, especially the story is based on a stroy written by a Chinese. Blue's clue is recommended by a relative whose major is related to early childhood education.
    • To all who have responded: Thanks a million for the detailed guide.
