Ha, ha, I already have a digital one (Canon power shot 100), it is good and convenient. but in the same price level, in terms of photo quality, film camera is better.

If you like Canon, EOS Elan 7 is a good chioce for your budget, get a USM lens if possible. Rebel 2000 with a 28-90 (non-usm) lens is around $500 + tax .
