        • no job yet? it would be difficult for you.
        • no worry, us job market is always better than canada's
                  • I am eating that grape
you know how much is that grape? 110K USD. sure you can not eat it
                    • Dear friend, I admire you very much. You dare to risk it.
                    • Take care, my friend.
Many of us just try to be "legal and good" residents in Canada. I don't have big courage like yours to risk my status and stability. I just want to keep a peace and worry-free life. For sure people like me do not get much big money --no risk no money.

But please keep in mind that if more and more people do the same thing as you did, sooner or later the authorities of both side will notice that and apply some measures to prevent it. That means the risk is becoming bigger and bigger in the future. Actually you're not the first person who work in the States and still prevent to be a Canadian residents, but you may notice that now a day it's already not as easy as before to behavour like this. So, take care, my friend.
                    • Hehehe, Guy, do you read my word? I tell ya I need not eat that kind of grape. Why do you tell me how big the grape is? And does that company pay you this salary for your trick?
It's not strang for this money, someone dare to face risk. But it's strange if those one who follow law of this world cannot get reasonable payback.
                      • Support you!
                        • Does it worth to stay in Toronto to endure the cold weather, the low income, high tax for 4 years to just get the Canada citizenship?
Most probably you will move to the US after you get the citizenship on TN1 ( a temporary working visa). Why not immigrate to US directly?
                      • I have no risk. I gave up my PR in Canada.
            • if you get a good job in the US, you can apply US green card
it would not take long time to get US green card comparing to
get Canada citizenship. The purpose of a lot of persons immigrated
to Canada is to go to US. Why not go there directly. And even after
you get your Canada citizenship, if you want to apply US green card,
              you still need H-1B.
        • 由于无法在这里获得去美国的探亲签证,我的朋友不得不回中国去办。
          • I am in Toronto now, if I have a I-20 from a US university, is it easy to get US visa from Canada? That is not a travel visa. Thank you!
            • I don't know. Sorry.
            • The process to get the F-1 VISA is the same as in China, except the officer are different. The officers working in China know Chinese too well. From my experience, whether you can get the F-1 VISA or not
is 50% depends on the mood of the officer who interviews you that day, and 50% depends on your academy and background.

Good luck to your US study.
    • Had an interview with a company in US couple days ago. They showed strong interest on my background but we could not get to a deal later. Why?
From our conversation over the phone, I can smell they don't want to take the risk cause the H1 process will take 8-12 weeks. They don't know what is going to happen to me after 2-3 months, especially in the IT field. So they ask me to contact them when I get the citizenship.

So good luck to your US job hunting!
      • Thank you.
