  • 枫下家园 / 爱车一族 / a question of car. Is it worth to bring a 93' Ford Taurus (122k mile=195k km) to Canada?
    • My opinion is NO, esp. if you are going to ON, PQ. 1 Used cars are cheaper there because of snowing and rusting. 2 You need to get safty certificate before registration.
This will cost you a few hundreds to a few thousands, whether your car itself is safe or not, because of the greedy mechanicians. In addition, the federal inspection will cost your a couple of hundreds. 3 Canadians like Japanese cars better than Americans. Ford Taurus is far less popular in Canada than in US.
