I downloaded all 5 files and extracted them. Then I run setup. When the satus is: Removing backup files, there has problem: a DOS window poped up and everything stopped. I closed DOS window manually and click finish button. I can find VA3.5 icon in start-programs. But there has no response when I run it. I opened the task manager, VA3.5 doesn't run at all. I tried to run it in DOS window manually, the result is the same: nothing happened. Why?

If you did as I stated in #28961 and WORK IN MS-DOS, you should see some error message because MS-DOS stocks there. -jabber(jabber); 2001-2-27 {130} (#29003@0)
Do not use short-cut in Start menu before things are Ok. In addition, go to IBM site and check the installation prerequirements.
