Kinda depends on what kind of string you have. If you play badminton, there's a string called BG-65 and BG-85. BG-85 is more expensive but less durable due to its design and structure.

I used like BG-85 for a year and a half and I can see the fiber spread out on the string already.. But not broken yet....
