    我寄了几份申请材料给学校(ECE)，可到现在块2个月了，一点回音也没有，只有3所告诉我收到申请，其中一所告诉我材料在某位教授那儿review。我想问一下一般何时有回音？学校一般什么时候发录取或是拒绝的信？材料在教授那里意味着什么？另外我给几位教授发过信，可没人回我，如何在这种情况下跟教授套近乎？

        I applied the graduate studying in winter or summer semester 2002.

        1 month after my application, I got an offer for May 2002.

        Now, got a refusing letter for Jan 2002.
