本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛Just moved to Ottawa last month. Quit the job before the moving. So, I am "xia gang nv gong" right now. Ottawa is very quite and small town, and I didn't go out to look for a job, as I want to prepare GMAT full time. But you know what, it's so hard to concentrate on studying now. Sometimes I like to wander on the net, and do nothing. Actually I always feel guilty and worry about it, whenever I waste time. So, I have to remind myself from time to time to study harder, and harder.

Fortunately, introduced by a nice net friend, I got to know another girl who is in ottawa and preparing for GMAT too. Both of us can encourage each other, and make good friends. Sometimes on weekend, we could gather and play "to la ji", xixi... You know, it's so boring when preparing for GMAT, and the worst thing is, I hate to memorize vocalburary, which is my weakest point, and I am always teased by my boyfriend on that.

I didn't make up my mind on the exact exam date, and I don't want to face it, though I have to. Do you have any plan to write GMAT and go back to business school? What's your plan here, looking for jobs, or studying?

By the way, we have another spring party in this coming weekend, and I am looking forward to it. We would have a lot of fun, and heard that, we may play karaokay. u reminded me that there is weekend in the world. can't remember what was the latest one....whose songs u r good at? the only thing i can't forgive my parents is that i was born with deaf-tone ears. no girl is willing to sing w/ me... :-(

no clear plan yet. just read CNN about economy downturn, which concerns me a lot. maybe i can take a long vacation in Ca and come back to continue my biz. it's really hard to tell details for the time being.

If you really enjoy it, I agree with your plan that, just come and have a long vocation. 'cause seems that another recession is coming, many small corporations which can't survive in the severe competition are closed. But those big companies in good operation, with not bad profit are still standing in the storm. So, sometimes recession is not really a bad thing, right?

Of course I also worry about recession. But I always comfort myself like, okay, fine, let me go study first, then after gradulation, hopefully it will turn to the good side. Is this Ah Q?

Anyway, last night I went to see the movie, Hannibal, wow, it's really scary. I almost screamed in the cinema. Maybe I did. I am not sure. Then to my surprised, I even wanted to vomit, yeah, that's true. This is the first time I had this feeling, 'cause it's tooooo digusty. You know Hannibal was a very popular novel last year. And I read some part of the novel. It's quite attractive, I mean at the beginning. So, I suggested strongly to see it, though he didn't want to. He told me that, people ranked Hannible very low marks in the net, much lower than Crounching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. We saw that one already, and he didn't like it either. But i like it. Especially I was attracted by the very wonderful scenery in desert and Wu dang Mountain. It's so beautiful. I think it's a kind of heart-broken beauty.

This time I had very strong curiosity, and asked once and once, finally we went to see it. He began to complain to see it when the time we stepped out of the cinema.... All kinds of complaint, you know guys' stuffs.... Anyway, next Tuesday we plan to see a new one played by Julia Roberts, by the name of, go to the mexica, sth like that, I can't remember. This time it's a comedy, which is preferred by both of us. Next time when you are here, you'd better go to see movies on Tuesday, 'cause they offer half price to all the movies on Tuesday.

Okay, it's really a long one, talk sth about your spare time life. Oh, yeah, I forgot you don't even have any spare time, as you are always working, xixi...

i like movies but can't remember clearly those actor/actress. later when i move to Ca, i'll buy a TV, finally a TV, for myself, as a compensation for years' of work. Guess what? I don't have a TV set yet. (don't laugh @ me)

today was an easy day -- so i can go out for a cup of coffee before go back home. it's really good talking 2 u, nice fairy.

You know what, everytime when I read your mail, GZ, those old days, familiar streets, tian he cheng, tian he rd north, shi pai,,,,, will appear in front of me immediatly. So clear, So friendly, and So close. But when I look up from my computer, out of my window, it's the pure and icy ottawa river. Yeah, at the other end, it's my hometown, far far away... Homesick to me, now just like the last drop of the wine, light sweet and lasting in my heart.

These days, have to worry about tax return. This is the first time, and I have very poor knowledge. He is busy at his work. I don't want to bother him. He always says it's just a piece of cake and we still have a lot of time. Anyway, will work it out.

I can feel the stress, but I always want to avoid it. So hard to fulfil the study plan, and time flies,,,, When the time I regret that I wasted so much time, one month has already been killed.!!!! Could you describe how you prepared? I mean, share some experience for that two painful months, maybe I really should adjust my attitude, or study plan...
