Is it running login script? home computer or computer at work?

The one at home. No application running at boot time -- I removed everthing. Also the autoexec.bat and config.sys are empty.

If it's computer at work, it's reasonable that it's running login scripts with DOS prompt. If it's home computer, sorry, I don't know your problem.
