    本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛I just ordered a Sony DCR-TRV17 on-line, which cost $818+25S&H. I will bring it to Canada. Because the time schedule is tight, I have to order the 1394 card and cable before the camcorder is shipped to me. Some 1394 cards and cables were found on www.newegg.com, really cheap. I have no experience with miniDV, or video editing. Please provide me some basic infomation ( I post a message bofe and remember "bloor" and someone else bought the same miniDV). Thanks for any suggestion.

    1. About 1394 cable suitable of TRV17. 4-pin to 4-pin male, or 6-pin to 4-pin male, or other type? iLink=1394?

    2. Any type of 1394 card will work with TRV17, right?

    3. My computer is Dell Dimension 8100-P4 1.3GHz/128Mb/40Gb (15 Gb already used) with Windows XP. Is this machine, especially the harddrive capacity, is good enough for video editing and making VCD, or DVD format MPEG-2 file?
