hi, every DX ! I want to know whether \" Lossing perment residence for exceeding 183 days outside of Canada \" just refers to \"you can not stay more than 183 days totally outside of Canada in 12-month period\". For example, if I landed Canada on July 1st and came back on July 15th, after 170 days i return to canada, so i still have 13 days which I can stay out of Canada before next July 1st, Is it right? Thank you.

if landed after 2002-6-28 and the new act is in effect without further change of time, the limitation of 183 days over 1 year period is remove, it will become 2 years in 5 years period. for cases that within the limit of 183 days before 2002-6-28, need to wait for cic to clear the doubt.
