    我想取消我的Monnex公司车保险，到rolia看到很多帖子说到Monnex，让我真害怕。（有一种买了不讲信用的电话卡的感觉）
    我是2001年9月19日买的保险。一年期。$857。
    不幸于2001年11月6日撞车。对方全部责任。我3300的车，Monnex不修，赔偿了我2170，车他们拿走。
    后来就忙于找律师向Monnex申请各项福利。
    昨日（2002年1月5日）我收到银行账单，才发现：Monnex继续在收我的保险费。（2001年12月13日收了一笔，数目和前几个月一样）我就糊涂了，我车都没有了，为何还在收保险费？是不是一定要收到一年期满后？还是必须我要寄回保险证书？还是因为Monnex给我了福利，所以要继续收？（唉，不懂保险知识，正是痛苦。只有请教各位知情的朋友。）
    另外，我看到Monnex公司有很多不好之处，是否能再这一次完全结束它？有的朋友说，如果中途退出，Monnex就不给保险的历史纪录，等等坏处。

      1. Have a careful review of your policy to nake sure if your car in insured on Actual Cash Value basis, which I believe is, because your car is obviously an old or second-hand. In this case, depreciation must be considered in loss payment to reflect its market value. Apprently your insurer believe your car it's cheaper to pay cash than repair your car. You got only $2,170 because they believe this is the so called "fair market value".
      2. They shall not charge premium after the payment. In your case the car is totaled, in other words, he insured object no longer exists after they paid the loss and took away your car. The contract between you and your insurer was over at that moment. You are entitled to get your money back.
      3. Monnex is not an insurance company. Purely a broker. Make sure you know what you will get from them before you pay.

      gosh, sorry I think I made a a mistake: If the $857 is the annual premium you agree to pay, I'm afraid you have to continue to pay monthly until this amount is paid off. That's the condition on which your insurer agreed to enter the insurance contract. You are simply paying it on instalment.

      Once you buy another car,they will give you a new policy and return the money to your account.
