Some of us just take granted for everything. In china, could they dare to say that?
That's why china can't practice democratic like canada with these people.
We have to china style to control, otherwise, no peace anymore
Welcome to Canada! Yes its tough every where. But while
Americans enjoyed 10 years of a bull run up here in Canada
we have nothing to show for it.

本文发表在 rolia.net 枫下论坛Welcome to Canada! Yes its tough every where. But while
Americans enjoyed 10 years of a bull run up here in Canada
we have nothing to show for it. At least Americans got jobs
that gave them experience. Canadians always face hard times.
Don't you just love all of those jobs jobs jobs promises of
free trade? Face it, Canadian companies import their experience help. It
used to be that one went to school got a university degree
that proved that one was basically able to learn and was
trainable. Now they expect you to be job ready from day one
with no training. Absurd. Reason they can get away with it
is that there are plenty of qualified immigrants from the US
working for IBM and other heavy weights who can easily get
a job up here once their work permits expire.
Sad reality in Canada. Just a case in point. It took me one
year to find a job after graduation. I could not find one
till someone told me about the Federal Government of Canada
paying employers half someone's wages for 6 months if that
person had a history of being on employment insurance. They
give you a slip to send with your resume explaining the
subsidy. Well that morning I began sending resumes out.
After sending five the phone rang and someone called me in
for an interview. They asked if I could come the same day. I
did and after a quick interview the same company that
refused me before hired me. That's because the government paid for half my wages. As soon as the internship ended I was laid off.
Agree. We got nothing to be grateful for what the gov dose. They are paid to do to something good.

房东葡萄牙老大娘圣诞节问我:\"do u like canada?\" 我说yes.老大娘说:good, i like canada. it is my country now.
Repayment of benefits at income tax time
Depending on your net income and if you were paid regular benefits (including regular fishing benefits), you may be required to repay some or all of the EI benefits you received. This repayment would be made when you file your income tax return.
Starting tax year 2000, if your net income exceeds $48,750 you will be required to repay 30% of the lesser of:
your net income in excess of $48,750; or
the total regular benefits (including regular fishing benefits) paid in the taxation year.
Exemption :
The following people are exempt from repaying their EI benefits:
First time claimants; or
Claimants paid either maternity, parental or sickness benefits.
EI claw-back

Say you got laid off and started to collect EI on Jan. 1 of
$2000/month in a calendar year. Suppose on May 1, you found
another job paying $8000/month and remained employed through
out the year. Since you earned income($64000) exceeds the
benchmark of $48000, therefore, you need to reimburse 4 x $
2000 = $8000 of EI you had collected from Jan. to April.
where do u get this? source please

I find a lot of complainer think they are the power of Canada Economy. I wonder how?
About student loan, government pays big money for interest before you graduate and after half year of graduation. Also the tuition fees are the same as canadian student. I guess a lot of people just don't realize the benefit they are enjoying. It's OK if you want to complain but after you pay a few years of tax, not now.
Plus, don't count that landing fee or immigration application as a mjor income in Canada Government. It's really not that much money. Majoy income tax in Canada is from 1% of the rich people.
